1991 年11 月，中國正式成為APEC 大家庭中的一員。20 多年來，作為中國參與的一個區(qū)域經(jīng)濟合作組織，APEC 成為中國與亞太地區(qū)其他經(jīng)濟體開展互利合作、開展多邊外交、展示中國國家形象的重要舞臺。中國通過參與APEC合作促進了自身發(fā)展，同時中國也為推動APEC 的合作、推動亞太地區(qū)經(jīng)濟發(fā)展、實現(xiàn)亞太地區(qū)持久繁榮穩(wěn)定作出了突出貢獻。中國在APEC 中扮演著日益重要的角色。
In November 1991, China formally became a member of APEC, the first regional economic cooperation organization that China joined. Over the past 20 years, APEC has become an important platform for China to carry out mutually-beneficial cooperation and multilateral diplomacy in the Asia-Pacific and to highlight its national image to the world. Through cooperation with APEC, China has had better self-development. Meanwhile, China has also made outstanding contribution to the promotion of cooperation within APEC and towards economic development of the Asia-Pacific region as well as realization of sustainable stability and prosperity of the region. China is now playing a more and more important role in APEC.
