《中國當(dāng)代社會(huì)與文化英文教程(第三版)》圖文并茂地提供一種展現(xiàn)中國當(dāng)代社會(huì)歷史文化風(fēng)貌的視覺方式,凸顯重要主題。全書共分為10個(gè)單元,每個(gè)單元以一個(gè)主題為中心,從中國國家基本概況談起,涵蓋各族人民、語言文學(xué)、教育制度、科學(xué)技術(shù)、傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日、山川河流、飲食文化、中醫(yī)療法、中華瑰寶等諸多方面的文化知識。通過聽說讀寫譯等多種訓(xùn)練方式教授學(xué)生了解和介紹中華文化。課程內(nèi)容生動(dòng)、直觀,符合當(dāng)代大學(xué)生的認(rèn)知心理。教材語篇長度、難度適中,生詞短語有詞匯表,文化背景知識有腳注,每篇文章后均有長難句注釋,方便學(xué)習(xí)者學(xué)習(xí)和查找。
第三版對語言文學(xué)、教育制度、科學(xué)技術(shù)三個(gè)單元的選篇做了較大幅度的修改,更新了課文內(nèi)容和統(tǒng)計(jì)數(shù)據(jù),去除了內(nèi)容相對陳舊的篇章,增加了與時(shí)俱進(jìn)的選篇和經(jīng)典作品與人物的介紹,比如在線教育、科幻小說與電影、問鼎茅盾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)的長篇小說《白鹿原》及其作者陳忠實(shí)、“捧著一顆心來,不帶半根草去”的人民教育家陶行知等。

訾纓,北京林業(yè)大學(xué)外語學(xué)院教授。 在高校英語教學(xué)21年中,先后主講過英語專業(yè)、涉外專業(yè)和大學(xué)英語各專業(yè)的英語精讀、泛讀、視聽說、語法與考試指導(dǎo)、英美概況、大學(xué)英語、研究生綜合英語、成人英語等課程。主編《英語綜合技能培養(yǎng)與提高》《大學(xué)英語四級考試教程》等教材、工具書和教學(xué)參考書18部。主持過教改課題5項(xiàng)。 發(fā)表研究論文12篇。曾獲省部級優(yōu)秀社科專著三等獎(jiǎng)一項(xiàng)、優(yōu)秀論文二等獎(jiǎng)3項(xiàng)。
李芝,北京林業(yè)大學(xué)外語學(xué)院教授、院長、博士、碩導(dǎo),美國麻省理工學(xué)院訪問學(xué)者。北京市研究生英語教學(xué)研究分會(huì)常務(wù)理事、北京高校英語專業(yè)委員會(huì)委員、中國英漢語比較研究會(huì)外語教育技術(shù)專業(yè)委員會(huì)理事。研究方向?yàn)槎Z習(xí)得、語料庫語言學(xué),外語教育。主持教育部人文社科基金項(xiàng)目、教育部新文科研究與改革實(shí)踐項(xiàng)目、教育部考試院與劍橋大學(xué)應(yīng)用聯(lián)合項(xiàng)目及北京市精品視頻公開課等項(xiàng)目,參加并完成國家社科基金2項(xiàng),教育部人文社科基金項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng);出版專著2部,教材20多部,發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文30多篇。獲得北京市高等教育學(xué)會(huì)研究生英語教學(xué)研究分會(huì)“第六屆青年教師基本功比賽”特等獎(jiǎng)。
